I want to join as an individual participant, not linked to a team, and help collect donations from friends, family, and co-workers for BOOKDRIVE FOR KIDS.
Basics
Decide on a date, time, and place to have your drive. We will print out flyers for your team to hand out the week before the collection date. The flyer tells the donor about the drive and when the books will be collected. For the actual collection day, we suggest that you have the donors place the books in a plastic bag (one that will resist moisture) and leave them on their porch the morning of the pick-up. After the books are collected, send us an email and we will arrange a date to pick-up the books.
Options
T-shirts with the BOOKDRIVE FOR KIDS logo are available. These can be worn when you pass out the flyers and when you collect the books. These t-shirts are great “eye catchers” and they help build enthusiasm for your project!
