Host a Book DriveBasics:Decide when, where and the time you would like to host your drive. Flyers are printed up with all the information. These flyers are usually handed out to employees the week before the actual drive. They serve as a reminder to donors to get their books ready for the drive. Then we bring out a box or table, where staff and employees can place the books. After the books are collected email us and we will arrange a date to pick-up the books. The age children we target are K – 6th grade. Options: We can bring out a 3’ X 6’ banner stand that promotes the BOOKDRIVE FOR KIDS program. Tee-shirts are available and can be worn by leaders to help create enthusiasm. We can also bring out a custom 10’ X 10’ event tent and a fully graphed Toyota Scion. Both of these items attract a lot of attention wherever they are placed. Sell “Dollar Books”Basics:Decide when, where and what time you would like to sell “Dollar Books.” “Dollar Books” are colorful papers shaped like a book with a space for the donor’s name. Each time someone donates a $1.00 (the money is placed in a sealed collection box) to BOOKDRIVE FOR KIDS, they get to write their name on a “Dollar Book” and it is hung up. The money collected can be picked up daily or given to us at the end of the event. Options: We can help promote the event by bring out a 3’ X 6’ banner stand. The banner has promotes the BOOKDRIVE FOR KIDS program. Tee-shirts are available and can be worn by the staff to bring added excitement.
